I run an experiential education program at a summer camp that operates year-round. Typically work with youth, however we do a number of colegiate and adult groups as well

Certifications? What's the deal with that? (Seinfeld voice)

As a year-round challenge course professional, it is easy to justify making the financial commitment to become certified. And by certified, I am referring to the piece of paper that a supervisor or book of standards likes to look at.

The challenge I find, is how to "certify" the 20 seasonal staff that I work with. I think we can all agree that more training and certifications is positive, however the camping world has yet to find a great way to accomplish this, without spending a fortune… Continue

I'll email you first. Any time you are in the Syracuse area you are welcome to see our indoor center - The Adventure Center. (LCCAdentureCenter.com) I'm taking a break from conferences this year, as much as I enjoy them. Instead, I'm taking a trip with our church to LA for a short term mission trip and in the spring I'm taking an Advanced Technical Skills class at High 5 then testing out on level 2 certification.
